You will manage a small operations team building and supporting the world's most advanced sub-20 nanometer particle detection instrumentation in the semiconductor and aerosol research markets. Kanomax FMT is a small subsidiary of the Japanese based Kanomax Corporation and is considered a critical source of growth and future direction. Role Description Kanomax FMT is seeking a highly motivated operations manager to manage and develop the manufacturing operations for our complex nanometer particle detection analyzers and nanoparticle aerosol products used in the semiconductor and aerosol research markets. The company is navigating the move from research and development to a more mature manufacturing operation and is looking for someone who is excited to implement lean continuous improvement principles and build a highly technical manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will manage a small interdisciplinary team including assembly, testing, and service to build on the operations planning processes to ensure reliable delivery of high-quality cutting-edge analyzers. This role reports directly to the division President. Job Responsibilities Lead a small manufacturing operations team across production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse functions. Develop and implement operational goals, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to improve efficiency, throughput, and capacity utilization. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow optimization, productivity, and quality enhancement. Partner closely with sales, product development, and leadership teams to maintain customer lead times and operational alignment. Foster a culture centered around continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other applicable regulatory standards. Oversee preventative maintenance programs and facility infrastructure to support uninterrupted operations. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent operation management experience. 5 or more years in manufacturing operations with proven growing management responsibilities. Familiarity with Quickbooks and/or Odoo ERP Software.
