With more than 19 years in business, we are a trusted residential restoration and remodeling company serving the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Our work primarily involves insurance-related residential restoration projects—including water, mold, fire, storm, and emergency mitigation services—along with the remodeling and reconstruction required to put homes back together after a loss. This role is one of the most critical positions in our operation, directly impacting project outcomes, insurance compliance, customer satisfaction, and company profitability.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Mitigation Manager is responsible for overseeing all emergency services and mitigation operations from initial loss response through completion and handoff to the estimating team. This is a senior-level field and operations leadership role — you will be hands-on when needed, but your primary focus is on running the division: managing technicians, enforcing TPA and carrier compliance, monitoring job timelines, controlling scopes, ensuring documentation is complete, and making sure we get paid correctly and on time. You will need to understand the full mitigation process from the ground up — including the ability to perform tech-level work — but your value to this company is in your ability to manage, lead, and keep the operation running smoothly across multiple active jobs simultaneously. If you know the restoration industry, understand how insurance claims work, and have led crews in a fast-paced mitigation environment, this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role with strong earning potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all active mitigation jobs — water, fire, mold, storm, and contents losses Manage mitigation technicians including scheduling, performance accountability, and day-to-day direction Ensure rapid and proper emergency response and job setup on every loss Monitor job progress across all active projects to ensure timelines are being met per TPA and carrier requirements Maintain strict compliance with IICRC standards and insurance carrier/TPA-specific rules and protocols Review and approve all job documentation — drying logs, moisture readings, scopes, photos, and required reports Ensure scopes of loss are being handled correctly and completely, protecting our ability to bill accurately Oversee estimating handoff — confirm each job is properly documented and scoped before transitioning to reconstruction Communicate professionally with homeowners, insurance adjusters, TPAs, and internal teams throughout each project Ensure timely and accurate updates across all company software and job management platforms Track equipment deployment and inventory across all active jobs to maximize utilization and reduce loss Identify and resolve job site issues quickly to prevent delays, additional damage, or compliance failures Ensure billing milestones are hit and payment is collected correctly on every mitigation job Conduct quality control inspections across active and completed mitigation jobs Support on-call operations and emergency response scheduling
