Senior Operational Excellence Manager Location:
St. Louis, MO About the
Role:
Brooksource's client is a leading CDMO specializing in sterile injectable drug delivery. They recently opened a brand-new manufacturing facility — purpose-built with state-of-the-art equipment and a focus on patient safety and quality. Their work directly enables better health outcomes for patients around the world. As their Senior Operational Excellence Manager, you'll be the first OE leader on-site — tasked with assessing the new facility, establishing processes and standards, and paving the way for two mid-level OE professionals who will follow. This is a greenfield opportunity for someone who thrives on building, not just optimizing.
What You'll Do:
Assess the new Bridgeton facility and build the OE roadmap — defining processes, standards, and priorities before the broader team is in place Support tech transfer activities and help establish processes for new equipment in a sterile injectable, aseptic manufacturing environment Deploy Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across operations; facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analyses Partner with senior leaders to identify and execute improvements tied to safety, quality, delivery, and cost Build tiered management systems, standard work, and KPI governance frameworks that scale with the growing team Mentor incoming OE professionals and operational leaders; champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
What You Bring:
6+ years in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or operations leadership — pharma or CDMO background strongly preferred Hands-on experience in aseptic or sterile manufacturing; comfortable navigating GMP requirements Experience supporting tech transfers — process establishment, validation readiness, or equipment qualification in a regulated environment Strong Lean and Six Sigma expertise with a proven track record of measurable, sustained results (Black Belt preferred) Greenfield or startup-within-a-company experience; you know how to build a foundation, not just refine what already exists Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change across cross-functional teams Why Join Us? 401(k) Matching Plan Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans Relationship Driven Process to Find Your Best Fit 6 Paid Holidays Regular Meetings to Ensure Quality in Your Engagement How to

$100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
