CNC Tooling and Die Operations Supervisor Natoli Engineering - 4.1 Saint Charles, MO Job Details 6 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Manufacturing management Blueprint specification interpretation High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Managing manufacturing teams Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Day-in-the-life As the 2nd shift leader in our Tool & Die CNC environment, you take the handoff from days, set the evening game plan, and keep a tight pulse on machining, grinding, and toolroom priorities. You're on the floor—coaching, checking dimensions, adjusting programs and setups, and removing roadblocks so your team can hit schedule, quality, and safety targets without compromise. What you'll own Direct and coordinate 2nd shift CNC machinists, toolmakers, and support personnel to maintain flow across the toolroom. Establish and sequence nightly priorities to align with the production plan and customer due dates. Verify parts meet print and tolerance requirements through regular in-process checks and final inspections. Develop talent on your shift—train operators on setups, machining methods, and safe work practices. Partner with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance to quickly resolve tooling, program, or equipment issues. Keep documentation current and accurate, including work orders, shift reports, and quality records. Track and communicate material, tooling, and consumable levels; escalate shortages and maintenance needs. Champion 5S and safety—maintain an orderly, compliant workplace that meets company and OSHA requirements. Lead and contribute to continuous improvement for throughput, quality, and team performance. What you bring High school diploma or GED required; completion of a technical/trade program is a plus. 5+ years in CNC machining, tool & die, or precision manufacturing environments. At least 2 years leading a machining team or serving in a lead role. Deep knowledge of CNC operations, G & M code fundamentals, tooling/setup practices, and print interpretation. Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; comfortable applying and interpreting GD&T. Clear communicator and organized problem-solver with strong follow-through. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for prolonged periods.
