Job Description

As Cerebral Staffing , we are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team supporting our client, John Deere Reman , in the Springfield, MO area. Production Supervisor - John Deere Reman This is a high-visibility, frontline leadership role offering a long-term 2+ year contract paying up to $48/hr , including 2 Weeks of PTO . Operating as a critical shop-floor manager, you will spearhead 2nd shift assembly and warehouse operations, represent the company's high-integrity interests, and lead production personnel to achieve demanding safety, quality, and output metrics.
Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:
Up to $48/hr (W2).
Location:
100% Onsite in the Springfield, MO area.
Duration:
2+ Years.
Shift:
2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM).
Overtime:
Highly likely; must be able to flex 2 hours before or after the shift, and support weekend work (Saturdays expected, Sundays if needed) based on production requirements.
Benefits:

Safety Gear:
Metatarsal safety shoes and all other factory PPE are required from Day 1 .

Core Responsibilities Frontline Operations Supervision:
Manage 2nd shift assembly and warehousing processes to drive safety, quality, and productivity targets. Evaluate schedules to determine manufacturing priorities and make dynamic workforce adjustments to meet customer deadlines.
Team Leadership & Accountability:
Oversee the onboarding, training, and professional development of production employees. Administer corporate policies, work rules, and practices fairly while fostering an inclusive environment with regular performance feedback.
Quality & Workmanship Control:
Monitor established quality control plans, troubleshoot workmanship discrepancies on the floor, and ensure that all remanufactured products meet or exceed design specifications.
Safety & Lean Manufacturing:
Implement, monitor, and sustain facility safety programs and housekeeping (5S) standards. Direct departmental continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Kanban, and Just-In-Time (JIT) methodologies.
Performance & Budget Tracking:
Monitor production data and operational expenditures to actively achieve individual, line, and departmental budget requirements. Required Skills & Experience Leadership presence: Proven capability in people management, establishing team accountability, conflict resolution, and objective decision-making.
Industrial Operations Knowledge:
Solid understanding of manufacturing and distribution processes, quality control, tooling, facilities management, and total preventative maintenance (TPM).
Technical & System Savvy:
Highly competent in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially data management and advanced Excel ) paired with a working knowledge of SAP .
Cross-Functional Awareness:
Prior experience interacting across major operational silos such as warehousing, engineering, operations, and supply management.
Education:
A University degree or 4-year equivalent in Supply Management, Business, Manufacturing Technology, or Engineering is preferred. An Associate's degree or a High School Diploma/GED backed by substantial, relevant years of industrial supervisor experience is acceptable. What Makes You Stand Out 2 or more years of formal team leadership, mentoring, and personnel development experience. 2 or more years of hands-on manufacturing experience inside a heavy factory environment. Proven project management history, including planning, resource coordination, and execution.
