Tasting Room Manager 502 Spring Street, Weston, MO 64098 $19 - $24 an hour $19 - $24 an hour Position Summary The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the winery tasting room, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving wine sales, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. This role serves as the face of the winery and plays a key role in building customer relationships, wine club membership growth, and brand loyalty. In addition, assist with aspects of our restaurant operations at our sister property. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Hospitality Deliver and maintain an exceptional tasting room experience for all guests. Create a welcoming, educational, and engaging environment that reflects the winery's brand and values. Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution of issues. Foster long-term relationships with customers, wine club members, and local partners. Sales & Revenue Growth Meet or exceed tasting room sales goals and key performance metrics. Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and event participation. Train staff in effective sales techniques, wine education, and customer engagement. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate wine restocking and merchandising. Team Leadership Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise tasting room staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and ongoing coaching. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Ensure staff adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards. Collaborate with restaurant team for staffing, menu planning, and ordering. Operations Management Oversee daily opening and closing procedures. Manage point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and daily sales reporting. Utilizing Toast, Square, Vinoshipper, and Homebase. Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and winery policies. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the tasting room and outdoor guest areas. Complete weekly ordering for tasting room and restaurant Events & Marketing Support Assist with planning and execution of winery events, private tastings, and special promotions. Collaborate with marketing efforts to increase visitation and customer engagement. Represent the winery professionally within the community and at industry events when needed. Qualifications Prefer minimum 2-3 years of hospitality, retail, wine, or tasting room management experience. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Proven ability to meet sales goals and drive revenue growth. Knowledge of wine and wine production preferred. Experience with POS systems and inventory management. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
