Job Description

Company Overview Grocery Supply Company is a family-owned business with a rich history dating back to 1947. We specialize in c-store distribution and are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers and community through our dedicated team. Overview We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities. In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for inventory management, shipping and receiving, and process improvements to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Responsibilities Supervise all personnel and operations of the shift maintaining good employee relations. Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Reviews daily production schedule for the department to plan work and personnel assignments. Maintain time and attendance and report payroll weekly. Conduct monthly safety meetings and address safety issues as needed in the workplace. Investigate and report all accidents. Coordinate the selection of products from the following departments - cigarettes, tobacco, candy, HBA/GM and single pack grocery. Separate customer orders in sequence to be selected. Organize employees into departments for the selection process. Requires frequent follow up and reassignment of selectors to ensure orders are selected in a timely manner. Work closely with the loading supervisor to coordinate loads. Monitor employee production rates. Work closely with night superintendent in improving production and reducing costs in the department. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Experience:
Three (3) years prior experience as a warehouse team member or with prior supervisor/lead experience. Individual who has demonstrated above average performance and strong leadership abilities.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, , and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematic Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory software, order processing systems, labor management, and time and attendance, and word processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be trained and certified on each piece of equipment used.
Other Qualifications:
Strong leadership, communication, and self-motivational skills. Willingness to work weekends and nights.
