Job Description
Forks Lath & Plaster (FLP) is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize all field and operational functions. As a key member of the leadership team, this role drives strategy, performance, and growth while ensuring excellence in project execution. The Director of Operations will oversee Project Managers and Field Supervisors, align field operations with company goals, and implement processes to improve efficiency while upholding FLP's standards for safety, quality, and performance. This will be a full-time role and can be based in either our Fargo or Grand Forks, ND offices.

Employer Paid Medical Insurance Plan Voluntary Vision and Dental Insurance Plans Retirement Plan with Company Match Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Paid Time Off Package Starting on Day 1 Paid Holidays Paid On-Site Training Weekly Direct Deposit Pay Safety and Skills Training Company Branded PPE & Clothing Issuance Employee Referral Bonus Program The primary role of the Director of Operations includes the following essential functions: Oversee all projects from a project management and field execution perspective, leading Project Managers and Field Supervisors to ensure alignment, accountability, and performance Provide direct leadership to Project Managers and Field Supervisors, ensuring all projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget Conduct job site visits to evaluate field execution, crew performance, safety compliance, and production progress Ensure successful project closeout, including punch list completion, final inspections, and turnover documentation Lead weekly operations meetings with Project Managers and Field Supervisors to review performance, address issues, and drive accountability Establish and enforce operational standards, processes, and performance metrics Drive labor planning strategies across multiple projects to maximize efficiency Evaluate team performance and implement coaching, training, or corrective actions as needed Ensure consistent communication and alignment between field operations, office staff, and leadership teamsQualifications and Skills:
5+ years of experience in construction operations, project management, or field leadership 2+ years in a senior leadership or multi-team management role (preferred) Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams at once Strong understanding of construction processes, labor management, and project execution Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability and performance Clear and effective communicator across all levels of the organization FLP is an exceptional company seeking exceptional people.
