Description:
Area Manager - Bulk Fuel & Oil The Area Manager is responsible for the daily operations and performance of assigned bulk fuel and oil locations. This role provides hands-on leadership to site teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations while supporting financial performance and local market growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned bulk plant locations. Supervise, coach, and support site managers and team members. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (EPA, OSHA, DOT). Monitor inventory levels, ordering, and product availability to meet customer demand. Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and fleet activities to ensure efficient service. Support customer relationships by maintaining a strong presence in the field. Identify and address operational issues, driving continuous improvement. Assist with implementing company policies, procedures, and operational initiatives. Support budgeting efforts and monitor site-level financial performance. Partner with sales to support customer retention and growth within the area.
Requirements:
Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or a related field; industry experience preferred. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience with fuel, propane, lubricants, or related products preferred. Valid driver's license required; CDL with Hazmat endorsement. CTEP certification and in-depth product knowledge preferred Skills & Abilities Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge around equipment maintenance and preventive care knowledge for trucks, trailers, fuel storage, and fuel dispensers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Basic financial and operational understanding. Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
