Job Description

Operational Executive Director Job Description A. Overall Agency Planning and Leadership The ED is expected to oversee and administer all agency programs, reserve and protect the agency's status, property, and business interests, and provide initiative, leadership, and vision in the planning, development, and implementation of agency programs and objectives. B. Community Relations and Agency Image The ED is expected to be visible and known within the community; project a positive public image of the agency; be attuned to the community's needs and perceptions and provide leadership in developing the agency's public profile and communicating its mission and services to the community. C. Board Development and Administration The ED is expected to advise and assist the Board on organizational issues and policy planning; keep the Board apprised as to major developments within the agency and policy issues requiring Board action; work and communicate effectively with Board committees and task forces; assist the Board in recruiting and maintaining effective membership; and follow through on appointed tasks for the Board. D. Staff Development and Administration The ED is expected to maintain and administer agency personnel policies and recommend changes when needed; develop and maintain a highly competent, motivated and productive staff; handle staff discipline and grievances fairly and effectively; and be a positive role model for all staff members. E. Financial Management/Fundraising The ED is expected to oversee the development and implementation of the annual budget to be approved by the Board; oversee the administration of the agency's daily fiscal operations including bookkeeping, record-keeping and receipt and expenditures of funds; lead the board and staff in the development and maintenance of revenue sources; and maintain positive and effective relations with United Way and other funding sources.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
