This is not a traditional dealership BDC Director role. You will be responsible for leading remote automotive appointment-setting teams, managing dealership client performance, developing operational processes, coaching team leaders, improving KPI performance, and helping dealerships across the country maximize every sales opportunity. Our Outsourced BDC Division serves franchise dealerships nationwide through dedicated appointment coordinators, advanced CRM processes, proven sales systems, and performance-driven accountability. We're looking for a leader who has already mastered dealership Internet and BDC operations and is ready to impact multiple dealerships simultaneously. If you have successfully led a high-performing Internet Department, BDC, Sales Department, or eCommerce operation and understand how to turn leads into appointments, appointments into shows, and shows into sold vehicles, we want to talk to you.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Overseeing daily operations of Dealer Synergy's Outsourced BDC Division Managing and coaching team leaders and appointment coordinators located domestically and internationally Driving performance across multiple dealership clients simultaneously Monitoring and improving key performance indicators including: Lead Response Time Contact Rate Appointment Set % Appointment Show % Sold Rate Agent Productivity Quality Assurance Scores Conducting dealership performance reviews and operational assessments Identifying process gaps and implementing performance improvement plans Training dealership clients on best practices for CRM management, lead handling, phone skills, texting strategies, email communication, and appointment setting Collaborating with dealership owners, general managers, sales managers, and BDC managers to improve results Developing accountability systems and reporting processes Supporting hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of BDC personnel Creating scalable systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and profitability
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate has successfully managed high-volume automotive lead operations and understands both dealership sales processes and BDC management at an advanced level. You should be highly analytical, process-driven, and capable of leading both clients and internal teams.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
5+ years of automotive dealership leadership experience Previous experience as: Internet Director BDC Director eCommerce Director Digital Sales Director Sales Manager General Sales Manager Proven success improving appointment, show, and sold metrics Strong CRM and lead management expertise Experience managing and developing teams Experience building accountability systems and operational processes Strong reporting and KPI analysis skills Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and presentation skills
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
Multi-store automotive experience Experience managing remote teams Experience with outsourced BDC operations Experience consulting with dealerships Experience with major CRM platforms including VinSolutions, Elead, DealerSocket, Tekion, DriveCentric, or similar systems Call center leadership experience
