About SIGMA Orthopedics Sigma Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a rapidly expanding, innovation-driven orthopedic platform focused on sports medicine, joint preservation, orthobiologics, and high-performance care. Anchored at Hudson Regional, SIGMA is building a multi-site, technology-enabled musculoskeletal center of excellence, alongside the launch of a new orthopedic residency program. Position Overview We are seeking a high-potential, execution-focused Executive Director of Orthopedic Operations & Program Development to work directly with physician leadership in scaling both the clinical practice and residency infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership-track role designed for an individual who wants to grow into a senior healthcare operations leader. You will be deeply involved in day-to-day execution, while simultaneously helping design and implement the systems that will drive long-term growth. This is not a traditional director role—this is an "operator-builder" position with significant visibility, responsibility, and upward mobility. Core Responsibilities 1. Clinical Operations & Workflow Optimization Oversee and improve operational efficiency across multiple orthopedic clinic sites Streamline patient flow, scheduling, and clinic throughput Coordinate between front desk, clinical teams, surgical scheduling, and leadership Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions 2. Executive-Level Support & Strategic Execution Work directly with physician leadership on operational priorities and growth initiatives Manage high-level scheduling, coordination, and follow-through on key projects Assist in execution of strategic initiatives across clinical and business domains Serve as a central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders 3. Residency Program Development Assist in building and coordinating the orthopedic residency program infrastructure Support onboarding, scheduling, and educational logistics Coordinate conferences, meetings, and academic programming Help integrate technology, workflow, and clinical exposure into the program 4. Business Development & Growth Support outreach and relationship-building with referral networks and athletic programs Assist in expanding partnerships with high schools, athletic organizations, and community stakeholders Identify opportunities for service line growth and operational expansion Participate in branding and growth strategy initiatives 5. Financial & Operational Performance Support Track and analyze key performance metrics (volume, efficiency, revenue streams) Assist in optimizing billing workflows and documentation processes Support cost-awareness and operational decision-making Contribute to building scalable systems for long-term growth Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred) 1-3+ years experience in healthcare, operations, or medical practice setting preferred Orthopedic or surgical practice exposure strongly preferred Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Modernizing Medicine) is a plus Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment What Makes This Role Unique Direct exposure to physician leadership and strategic decision-making Central role in launching a new orthopedic residency program Opportunity to help build a multi-site orthopedic platform from the ground up Hands-on experience across operations, strategy, and healthcare growth
Compensation & Growth Path Base Salary:
$60,000
