We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our team in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced manager with a "hands on" approach who is detail-oriented, and safety-conscious to oversee the daily operations of our stone slab Gallery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar heavy materials environment and strong leadership skills to ensure efficient receiving, storage, display and distribution of delicate and heavy stone slabs. A college degree is not required; extensive, relevant experience is highly valued. This position reports to the VP of Operations.

Key Responsibilities Safety First:

Enforce strict adherence to all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies, particularly those related to handling heavy and fragile stone slabs using specialized equipment (overhead bridge cranes, clamp trucks, A-frames, forklifts, etc.).

Team Leadership:

Supervise, mentor, train and motivate a team of distribution associates, assigning daily workloads and ensuring procedures are consistently followed.

Inventory Management:

Oversee all inventory activities, including receiving, sorting, put-away, picking, and shipping. Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain high accuracy.

Efficiency & Quality:

Continuously look for process improvements to maximize warehouse efficiency and minimize damage or errors during handling and transport.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance:

Monitor the safe operation of all material handling equipment, ensuring routine maintenance and safety checks are performed.

Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate with sales, customer service, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and deliveries.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on productivity, inventory levels, and safety incidents using MS Office Suite.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a warehouse or distribution center, with at least 5 years in a management role. Experience with heavy and fragile materials (e.g., stone slabs, glass, large tiles) is a significant plus .

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Safety Certifications:

OSHA safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 10 or 30-hour) are highly desirable.

Equipment Skills:

Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) , problem-solving, and time management abilities.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and perform physical warehouse duties.
