As Director of Operations for the New Mexico location, you will have meaningful influence over how the business runs, with visibility into multiple facets of the organization, from team leadership and process improvement to policy compliance, performance engagement, and operational execution. You will work closely with senior leadership, and your decisions will have a direct and visible impact on both the team and the business. The Director of Operations works closely with senior leadership to develop and execute comprehensive operating plans, both short•and long-term, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong team performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations Oversight Facilitates weekly management meetings, including developing agendas and following up on open items to ensure accountability across teams. Develops, reviews, and communicates KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement across all departments. Partners with each department to maximize efficiency, quality, and company profitability through ongoing process evaluation and improvement. Meets regularly with senior leadership to ensure operational plans align with the company's overall strategic direction. Provides oversight of relationships with customers, partners, and vendors associated with the business. Helps facilitate coordination and communication between departments and business entities. Oversees the maintenance and replacement of office equipment and computer software as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by senior leadership. Personnel Partners with Human Resources and senior leadership to implement and maintain a streamlined organizational structure. Reviews job descriptions, evaluates personnel performance, and optimizes the organizational chart to ensure all staff are positioned for success. Collaborates with Human Resources and senior leadership to develop, improve, and consistently enforce company policies and guidelines throughout the organization. Addresses personnel issues and conflicts in a timely manner in partnership with Human Resources, ensuring proper documentation within the company's HRIS. Conducts timely and constructive performance reviews for all assigned staff. Organizes and oversees staff schedules and day-to-day work assignments. Handles disciplinary actions and terminations as needed, in accordance with company policy and in partnership with Human Resources and senior leadership. Business Planning Collaborates with senior leadership to develop the annual operating plan and corresponding budget. Analyzes weekly budget and operating results, communicating findings and recommending improvements to the senior leadership team. Partners with senior leadership to develop a long-range strategic business plan. Brings an entrepreneurial mindset to problem-solving, thinking creatively, challenging the status quo, and encouraging others to do the same. Compliance Ensures company-wide compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and NPIP guidelines. Models and reinforces adherence to all company policies and procedures at every level of the organization. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in management, operations, or a related field, or comparable professional experience Minimum of five years of relevant leadership experience required Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing team Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Comfortable working with computer systems, software platforms, and office technology Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Hatchery or agricultural industry experience preferred but not required Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required Competencies Ethical conduct Customer servitude Tenacity Strong computer skills High level of confidentiality Problem solving/analysis Ability to adapt to change Ability to work well with others and lead effectively Great organization skills Able to successfully meet deadlines Strong communication skills Motivated and self-directed Able to prioritize and multi-task Effective in a team environment Travel Requirements Some travel may be required, up to 25% Physical Demands Requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors associated with eggs and poultry of various quality Normal corrective vision range, ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols Frequently required to sit, walk, talk, hear, bend, reach, stand, stoop, crawl, crouch, push, pull, twist, turn, balance, climb, and stretch Requires the ability to perform physical labor requiring continual use of motor skills and manual dexterity Requires the ability to work around equipment that generates noise, vibration, and heat This position may require heavy lifting, over 60 lbs.
