We are seeking a reliable, organized, and personable professional to help support our front office on a temporary basis while a current team member is on leave. About the Role We are looking for a dependable, polished, and solution-oriented Temporary Front Desk Operations Coordinator to help manage the day-to-day front office experience. This is a temporary position intended to provide coverage until our current employee is able to return to work. The exact length of the temporary assignment is unknown at this time, so applicants should be comfortable with a temporary role that may last several weeks or several months. You will be the voice, face, and energy of our school—welcoming families, answering questions, supporting current students, helping prospective families register, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. This role combines customer service, sales, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities. We hold a high standard for professionalism, reliability, efficiency, and communication.

Weekday evenings from approximately 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM The more weekday evening availability you have, the better This position is based in Harrison, NY . Reliable transportation is required. Temporary Position Notice This is a temporary coverage position . We are hiring to cover the responsibilities of a current employee who is on leave, and we intend to hold that employee's position for their return. Because the return date is not yet known, we are looking for someone who is flexible and comfortable with a temporary assignment. There may be the possibility of continued or future work depending on business needs, but this position should be understood as temporary from the start. Compensation $21/hour during training $23/hour upon completion of training Competitive pay for a part-time temporary role with meaningful responsibility Key Responsibilities Front Office Operations Manage scheduling, registrations, payments, and daily administrative tasks Maintain organized and accurate client records Keep the front desk area clean, welcoming, and professional Assist with day-to-day school operations Client Communication & Experience Serve as a first point of contact by phone, text, and email Greet students and families warmly and professionally Communicate clearly with students, parents, teachers, and team members Help create a positive, organized, and welcoming experience for every family Client Outreach & Registration Support Confidently guide prospective families through our programs Help convert inquiries into registrations using established processes Follow up with leads and make sure opportunities do not fall through the cracks If you strongly dislike sales or follow-up calls, this role will not be a fit Team Communication Hub Act as a bridge between families, staff, and instructors Make sure information is communicated clearly and promptly Help ensure smooth handoffs between team members Retail & Support Tasks Sell basic music supplies at the front desk Assist with stocking, organizing, and light cleaning Support general front office needs as they arise The Ideal Candidate Reliable & Consistent You show up on time, follow through, and understand that front desk coverage is essential to the school running smoothly. Independent & Professional You can manage responsibilities without constant oversight and represent the school well. Preferred Backgrounds Experience in fast-paced, customer-facing roles such as: Hospitality or restaurant Retail Medical or therapy office Salon or spa Bank teller or client services School office or children's activity center Administrative support No music experience is required.
