Job Description

Job Overview Lodge seeking a hands-on Innkeeper (individual or couple) to oversee a 25-room motel with an on-site restaurant in the Adirondacks. This is a year-round property serving ski guests in winter and outdoor travelers throughout the rest of the year. We are seeking an organized, proactive operator who takes pride in maintaining a well-run property and creating a warm, welcoming experience for guests. This is a highly hands-on role requiring comfort across front desk, guest interaction, housekeeping coordination, restaurant, vendor management, and day-to-day operations. Food & beverage is an important component of the property, and experience in restaurant, bar, or breakfast service is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and genuinely guest-minded, with a natural sense of kindness and a high level of trustworthiness. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and play a meaningful role in improving and evolving the property, with potential to grow alongside ownership and participate in future opportunities. Couples with complementary skill sets are encouraged to apply. Compensation includes salary and potential bonus tied to performance. An on-site apartment (bedroom and living room) is available. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide personalized check-in and check-out experiences Manage front desk operations, including reservations, guest inquiries, and multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy Oversee guest services such as room assignments, concierge requests, and special accommodations to enhance guest satisfaction Maintain excellent phone etiquette and respond promptly to guest needs or concerns with proactive solutions Coordinate/lead with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure rooms and facilities meet quality standards Oversee all restaurant operations Foster positive guest relations by addressing feedback promptly and ensuring a welcoming environment at all times Experience Proven experience in hospitality management (hotel or restaurant) operations preferred with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Strong leadership skills and work ethic Willingness to lead by example and a can-do mentality Join us in creating memorable experiences for every guest while leading a dedicated team committed to hospitality excellence. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
