Job Description

Operations Manager / Construction Project Lead A growing construction services organization is seeking an experienced field leader to oversee operations at a newly expanding Capital Region location. This individual will play a key role in building out the local team, managing day-to-day field operations, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a Superintendent or Project Management background who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with regional leadership.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing operation, build a team from the ground up, and play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure-related projects. The role offers a blend of field leadership, operational oversight, and long-term growth within a stable and expanding organization in the local branch.

Lead daily operations for a small but growing field office, with responsibility for scaling the team over timeManage multiple active job sites, ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and execution of workCoordinate field crews, subcontractors, and resources to support active construction projectsOversee site logistics including coordination of work zones, access, and project-related safety requirementsServe as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local agenciesEnsure all field operations adhere to safety regulations and compliance standardsMonitor project schedules, budgets, and workforce planning to maintain efficiency and qualityConduct regular site visits to support crews, troubleshoot issues, and maintain progressUtilize internal systems and standard tools (Excel, project tracking software, etc.) for scheduling, reporting, and billing supportAssist with hiring, training, and developing field staff as the operation grows
