Job Description
This position oversees all operations for student-led Falcon Radio and serves as the primary link between radio station volunteer staff, the station's faculty adviser and the rest of BG Falcon Media. The person represents the stations to the University and the general public. Career Readiness Competencies Seek feedback from supervisors and apply it to improve performance. Hold regular weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week) in the Convergence Lab or Falcon Radio studio Maintain online Falcon Radio calendar - print and post weekly, working with Falcon Media Sports Network to resolve scheduling conflicts Coordinate and attend promotional/recruitment events Perform DJ training sessions as necessary Attend and contribute to weekly BG Falcon Media leadership meetings Hold full weekly staff meetings for Falcon Radio volunteers Works closely with faculty radio adviser to oversee all operations including day-to-day activities and programming, including special and sponsored programming Ensures smooth process to deliver content from other BG Falcon Media brands Weekly meetings with faculty radio adviser At least one year experience with Falcon Radio Demonstrated leadership, as well as managerial and organizational skills Strong background in broadcasting, advertising, social media, and/or audio production Preferred majors:
Media Production and Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, VCT Minimum GPA:
2.25 This role requires approximately 8 to 10 hours per week during each semester with flexibility to align with academic schedule.Stipend:
