We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Packout Manager to lead field operations for fire, water, and contents restoration projects throughout the Columbus market. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can lead multiple teams simultaneously, and takes pride in helping people through difficult situations. This position is very similar to a Project Manager role within restoration, moving, logistics, or field operations — but with a strong emphasis on customer experience, team leadership, communication, and operational execution. We are a locally owned, family-oriented company with a strong culture, high standards, and a leadership team that believes in empowering people instead of micromanaging them. What You'll Do Lead and coordinate multiple packout projects simultaneously Manage field crews during fire and water loss packouts Conduct walkthroughs and scope assessments at loss sites Communicate professionally with homeowners during stressful situations Coordinate with adjusters, mitigation contractors, and reconstruction teams on-site Serve as the operational bridge between field crews and company leadership Ensure projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and according to company standards Maintain organization, documentation, communication, and job flow throughout projects Assist with scheduling, logistics, and problem solving in real time Participate in after-hours/on-call response rotations for emergency losses What We're Looking For Proven leadership and team management experience Ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing attention to detail Strong communication and customer service skills Calm under pressure and solution-oriented Professional presence with homeowners, contractors, and insurance professionals Self-motivated and accountable Comfortable working in the field, warehouse, and active job sites Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive team culture Preferred Experience (Not Required) Restoration industry experience Project management experience Moving/logistics leadership Construction management Mitigation or contents restoration experience Insurance claims environment familiarity Team leadership in fast-paced service industries Why Blue Kangaroo Packoutz?
