Job Description

Description Essential Functions Assist Department Manager with managing workflow to meet planned units/cartons per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards. Supervise your functional areas to ensure all Key Performance metrics are achieved; develop daily plan, monitor results, initiate changes to ensure daily goals are achieved. Delegate tasks, train & monitor associate performance to meet and exceed productivity, accuracy, quality, safety, attendance goals in accordance with SOP's. Optimize department operations by ensuring the correct staffing levels each day, provide feedback to Manager regarding labor capacity and workload leveling. Support & create a culture of consistency, fairness & inclusiveness for associates. Lead start up shift meeting. Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Oral and written communications skills. Strong work ethic, critical thinker, and excellent attention to detail (quality of work). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable working in a distribution environment. Must be flexible with schedule rotation based on business needs. Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management. Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
Desired Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years of supervisory distribution service experience. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite) required.
Work Environment:
This job is an onsite position located at the Torrid Ohio Distribution Center. This role generally requires 40+ hours per week; however, hours may vary based on workflow. Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation) Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to ten pounds. May lift/move up to thirty pounds occasionally.
Travel Requirements:
This position may require minimal travel.
