Position Overview We are seeking a Scale Supervisor to lead a team of 15-20 scale operators and point-of-sale clerks across our aggregate operations. In this role, you will oversee daily scale operations, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and drive consistency in processes that support an exceptional customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Oversee a multi‑site team of 15-20 scale operators, ensuring consistent performance and operational alignment across Salem, Eugene, and remote locations in Hood River and Roseburg. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer service excellence Support change management initiatives and implement new processes as needed Operations & Compliance Oversee daily scale operations, ensuring accuracy of inbound/outbound transactions Investigate and troubleshoot system or process discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Review weighmaster tickets and certifications for accuracy, legal compliance, and data integrity Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including MSHA standards Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) Customer Experience & Coordination Ensure a consistent, professional customer experience at all scale and POS locations Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, transportation, and safety teams Support customer interactions, including walk-in traffic, phone calls, and issue resolution Coordinate with yard personnel and equipment operators to ensure efficient loading operations Financial & Reporting Responsibilities Oversee cash handling and reconciliation processes at all point-of-sale locations Monitor and audit transaction data to maintain accuracy and accountability Prepare and distribute operational reports to leadership Maintain accurate records, including tickets, order documentation, and compliance logs Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Previous leadership experience in construction materials, aggregates, trucking, or a related industry strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team development skills Safety-first mindset with a commitment to compliance Excellent customer service and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions Proficiency with computers and basic business systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong collaboration skills across diverse teams and functions Willingness to work overtime and travel between sites as needed What We Offer Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Coverage Generous Paid Time Off 10 Paid Holidays (8 fixed, 2 floating) 401(k) with 5% Company Match + Potential Profit Sharing Tuition Reimbursement & Professional Development Employee Assistance Program Company-Paid Life Insurance Short- & Long-Term Disability Coverage Employee Referral Program Discounts on Travel, Retail, Automotive, and More Opportunities for

Office setting primarily; however, the incumbent of this role will be required to travel to scale houses which are located on mine sites and expose the employee to noise and dust. This position is largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers. To avoid injuries to hands, back, and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
