Our company has built its reputation on professionalism, reliability, and delivering exceptional client experiences. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Event Operations Manager who can help lead our team, strengthen our systems, and ensure every event is executed at the highest level. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, leading people, and taking ownership of outcomes. Schedule & Availability Events do not operate on a traditional schedule. Applicants who prefer predictable hours, have limited weekend availability, struggle with last-minute changes, or are uncomfortable making decisions under pressure are unlikely to succeed in this role. This position requires availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended workdays depending on event schedules. Flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability are essential. Position Overview The Event Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the organization and is responsible for ensuring events are properly staffed, prepared, executed, and completed successfully. This role bridges warehouse operations, event logistics, client communication, and onsite leadership. The ideal candidate understands how to balance people, equipment, timelines, and client expectations while maintaining professionalism under pressure. This is a hands-on management role. While planning and coordination are important, successful candidates must also be comfortable loading equipment, leading crews onsite, and stepping in wherever necessary to ensure success. Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Logistics Coordinate and oversee operational planning for multiple events simultaneously Review event details, production requirements, schedules, and staffing needs Ensure equipment, vehicles, and personnel are prepared and assigned appropriately Identify potential challenges before they become operational issues Maintain clear communication with clients, venues, vendors, and internal team members Onsite Event Leadership Serve as the lead operational representative at events Direct crews during setup, event execution, and breakdown Ensure company standards are maintained at all times Make real-time decisions when unexpected situations arise Protect the client experience through proactive leadership and problem-solving Team Development & Accountability Lead and support event technicians, DJs, and production staff Establish clear expectations and operational standards Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement Assist with onboarding and training new team members Warehouse & Equipment Operations Support equipment preparation, load-outs, and inventory processes Verify equipment readiness prior to events Ensure equipment is properly handled, maintained, and returned after events Assist with improving warehouse organization and operational efficiency Process Improvement Help refine company systems, procedures, and workflows Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements Participate in post-event reviews and operational evaluations Contribute to scaling the company's operational capabilities as we continue to grow Qualifications Experience Preferred experience in one or more of the following: Event production Live events Audio visual services Event operations Hospitality management Logistics management Production management Team leadership or supervisory roles Leadership Ability You should be comfortable leading people, making decisions, resolving conflicts, and maintaining accountability without constant oversight. Organizational Skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously. Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, venues, and team members. Technical Knowledge Experience with audio systems, video systems, lighting, staging, power distribution, or event technology is highly desirable. Problem Solving The ability to remain calm, think critically, and take decisive action under pressure. Physical Requirements This position regularly requires: Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 75 pounds Standing and walking for extended periods Loading and unloading production equipment Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Transportation Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Experience driving trucks, trailers, or larger vehicles is a plus.
