Job Description

The Regional Director of Competitive Aquatics provides strategic and operational leadership for all competitive swim programs across multiple branches. This role oversees program development, staff leadership, financial performance, and overall program quality while ensuring alignment with YMCA mission and association standards. This position is responsible for managing multiple program areas and team, developing staff, driving growth, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for all participants across the region. Recruits, trains, onboards, and supports assigned staff and volunteers. Additional responsibilities include hiring, payroll functionality, and training of staff and volunteers, curriculum development and evaluation, budget management, and adhering to all regulatory and Association standards. Provides liaison to committee(s) and advisory board(s) and takes a leadership role in mission advancement activities.
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Minimum of three years of YMCA experience-related experience within another organization preferred. Three years of supervisory experience preferred. Experience directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff required. Previous experience with diverse populations. YMCA Team Leader certification preferred. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
