Job Description

Overview Position Summary The Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day operations of JFS. This individual oversees administrative systems, compliance, human resources support, facilities management, technology, donor database administration, and operational support for annual fundraising activities. The Operations Manager works closely with the Chief Executive Director and program leaders to ensure organizational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the agency's mission and strategic goals. Responsibilities Operations & Administration
  • Oversee daily organizational operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and improve internal workflows and systems.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and communication.
  • Oversee all internal committees. Human Resources & Learning Management Support
  • Oversee HR administration in collaboration with the HR Consultant, including onboarding, benefits coordination, and maintenance of personnel files.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, nonprofit regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate records and timely completion of all required annual training and compliance programs.
  • Monitor employee training completion rates and generate reports to track compliance with mandatory education requirements.
  • Support performance management systems and staff development initiatives. Development & Donor Relations Support
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the agency's donor database, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support fundraising and donor engagement activities.
  • Coordinate operational aspects of annual fundraising campaigns and special events in collaboration with leadership and development staff.
  • Support donor stewardship efforts by maintaining records, acknowledgments, and communication tracking.
  • Assist with the implementation of fundraising strategies and initiatives that advance the organization's mission and goals. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee licensing, insurance, and risk management policies.
  • Maintain accurate organizational records and documentation.
  • Support grant compliance by maintaining required operational documentation and reporting records. Facilities & Technology
  • Manage facility operations, leases, and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee IT systems and technology infrastructure in partnership with external providers.
  • Ensure safe, welcoming, and accessible service environments. Strategic & Organizational Leadership
  • Participate in strategic planning and organizational development.
  • Contribute to board reports and operational updates.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, equity, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for operational innovation and process improvement. Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, or related field.
  • Three to five years of operations or administrative leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit compliance, human resources administration, fundraising operations, and organizational systems.
  • Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS) and monitoring training compliance.
Experience with donor databases or constituent relationship management (CRM) systems
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
