About the Fiscal Operations Director, Children & Youth Role As a Fiscal Operations Director within our Finance team, you'll play a vital role in supporting Children & Youth services through strategic fiscal oversight, budgeting, compliance monitoring, and operational leadership. This position is ideal for someone who is analytical, resourceful, collaborative, and thrives in fast-paced environments where accuracy, accountability, and teamwork matter. Fiscal Operations Director, Children & Youth Core Responsibilities Prepare, review, and audit the Needs Based Budget on an ongoing basis to ensure fiscal integrity, compliance, and alignment with best practices. Maintain the general ledger for assigned program areas and oversee day-to-day fiscal operations. Complete required financial and operational reports throughout the year in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. Monitor and audit purchased services to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and fiscal expectations. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support collaborative initiatives and ensure practices align with SAM's Mission, Vision, and Values. Supervise Fiscal Technicians and foster an engaged, accountable, and professional team environment. Assess, develop, and implement policies and procedures that support sound business operations and regulatory compliance. Support ongoing financial health and operational sustainability for assigned Children & Youth programs. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least five years of experience working within Mental Health, IDD, Children & Youth, or a generalized fiscal leadership role. A combination of relevant experience and education considered. Strong knowledge of budgeting, fiscal reporting, auditing practices, and financial operations. Ability to analyze complex financial information and maintain attention to detail. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
