Together, over 6,500 dedicated professionals will deliver over 1 billion gallons of propane from 1,800+ distribution points across the United States. Position Summary The Sr. Training Manager — Field Operations leads technical and compliance training operations across the Training Centers of Excellence, managing Field Technical Facilitators, Instructional Designers, and a Training Coordinator. This role ensures all field training programs meet regulatory requirements, organizational quality standards and strategic objectives.
Essential Functions:
1. Multi-Site COE Operations & Team Leadership Oversee daily training operations across all Training Centers of Excellence managing schedules, resource allocation, facility readiness, and up to 50% site travel. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the Training Coordinator, Instructional Designers, and Field Technical Facilitators, ensuring all trainers maintain current certifications and instructional competencies. 2.Training Quality Ensure technical and compliance training programs across all COE locations meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and learner-centered excellence values. Measure program effectiveness using completion rates, certification achievement, and time-to-competency metrics, providing regular performance updates and improvement recommendations to the Director of Training. 3.Stakeholder Partnership Partners with Safety, Compliance, operational leaders, subject matter experts, and the Sr. Training Manager - Learning & Development to identify training needs, prioritize program delivery, and align training initiatives with business priorities. Serves as the primary point of contact for field operations regarding training requests, scheduling, and coordination of resources to support workforce development. 4.Training Ownership & Recordkeeping Standardization Serve as the organization's primary owner of all technical and compliance training programs. Enforce consistent documentation protocols across all direct reports and partner with the Sr. Training Manager — Learning & Development to ensure LMS configuration supports compliance recordkeeping requirements. 5.Budget Management & Resource Planning Develop and monitor the field operations and compliance training budget, providing recommendations on resource allocation and investment priorities to the Director of Training for approval. Identify and plan necessary resources across all COE locations to support training delivery, certification maintenance, and new program requests.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and people management skills with ability to coach, develop, and motivate training staff across multiple locations Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery best practices Knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and other identified regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational and project management capabilities with ability to coordinate activities across multiple training centers and manage competing priorities Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze training metrics, measure effectiveness, and use data to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI Budget development, monitoring, and resource planning across multiple locations Change management and process standardization
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Length of Experience:
Minimum 5 years in training, learning and development, or operations management with at least 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience managing training staff or field operations
Certifications:
Professional certifications such as:

CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance)CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development)CPTM (Certified Professional Training Manager)
Licenses/Registrations:
Valid driver's license required.
Other:
Propane, hazardous materials, or energy industry experience requiredDemonstrated experience with DOT and OSHA compliance training programsProficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training technology platforms.
