The Director of Operations is responsible for the operational leadership, commercial coordination, and strategic execution of the facility operation and the USA route-to-market activities. The role ensures the business operates efficiently, safely, compliantly, and profitably while delivering exceptional customer service and supply chain performance across the USA and Canada. About the
Role:
Working closely with the Head of Manufacturing, the Director of Operations provides leadership across all manufacturing and non-manufacturing operational functions and shares accountability for overall site performance. The role is highly cross-functional, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution.
Position Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership Lead the operational performance of the Moscow site and USA route-to-market activities. Ensure alignment between operational execution and company strategic objectives. Develop scalable systems, structures, and operational processes. Drive accountability through KPIs, reporting, and operational reviews. site leadership responsibilities with the Head of Manufacturing.
Functional Leadership Areas:
Site Operations Oversee overall site performance, including: Health & Safety and Human Resources Warehousing (local/remote) and transportation (USA & Canada) Internal/external communications and KPI/board reporting Purchasing, planning, and financial controls U.S. supply chain operations and inventory management (domestic & international) Route-to-market optimization and customer service Team Leadership & Organizational Development Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams Implement training and development programs Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Drive employee engagement and retention Supply Chain & Logistics Management Optimize inventory levels and turnover Improve warehousing and transportation efficiency Support S&OP and capacity planning processes Enhance order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and service levels Financial Management Develop and manage site and supply chain budgets. Monitor monthly financial variance and implement corrective actions. Support cash flow management and cost control initiatives. Identify operational savings opportunities and efficiency improvements. Customer Service & Commercial Support Ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded. Drive responsiveness, communication, and service excellence. Support optimized route-to-market strategies. Partner with commercial teams to support growth objectives. Risk, Compliance & Governance Identify and mitigate operational risks. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, safety, and company standards. Maintain audit readiness and governance discipline. Ensure accurate regulatory and operational reporting. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Lead process improvement initiatives across operations and supply chain. Drive operational efficiencies and cost savings. Foster employee participation in innovation and improvement programs. Implement best practices and scalable operational systems.
Candidate Profile:
Senior operational leadership experience within manufacturing and/or supply chain. Proven experience leading multi-functional operational teams. Strong supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and customer service experience. Budgeting and financial management knowledge and experience. Strategic leadership Operational excellence Supply chain optimization Financial acumen People leadership and development Communication and stakeholder management Risk management Continuous improvement mindset Decision-making and problem-solving
