Job Description

Weiner Iron & Metal is a family-owned enterprise in search of long-term employees. Operations Manager must maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. Maintains company standards by ensuring employees are aware of expectations and are properly trained. Strong multi-tasking skills required. Ability to handle busy environments and has high volume experience! Work Experience Maintenance experience (Strongly preferred) Scrap experience (preferred) Warehouse operations (perferred) Experience with heavy equipment 8 Years in similar operations role Salary based on experience Job Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of a Scrap Recycling Facility. Manages and directs activities of Receiving, processing and shipping Recycled Material ensuring product meets standard of safety, quality, and throughput . Manage and Collaborate with Maintenance Department to plan preventative maintenance and ongoing repairs. Trouble shoot and diagnosis heavy equipment repairs Establishes and adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet shipment schedules. Must adhere to the highest safety guidelines. Assist in the dispatch of drivers servicing local customers Maintains effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and throughput. Resources for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations. Participate in Human Resource decisions relative to attendance, overtime and hiring. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Develops capital equipment purchase plan and implementation Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department personnel. Collaborates leadership to champion a world-class safety culture. Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
