Job Description

Overview The Project Foreman is responsible for supervising field operations related to dewatering systems on construction sites. This position oversees crews installing, operating, and maintaining dewatering equipment, pumps, discharge lines, and related equipment while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. The foreman coordinates with project managers, engineers, and site superintendents to ensure proper system performance, schedule adherence, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Responsibilities Field Supervision
  • Supervise and lead field crews performing dewatering installations and system operations.
  • Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members.
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers and general contractors on project scheduling and site logistics. Installation & Operations
  • Oversee installation of dewatering systems, dredges, discharge piping, pumps, and power units.
  • Monitor equipment and system performance.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and adjust equipment as needed.
  • Ensure proper setup and maintenance of pumps, generators, and electrical components. Equipment & Materials Management
  • Inspect and maintain dewatering equipment.
  • Coordinate delivery and staging of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of hoses, pumps, pipe, fittings, and related supplies. Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete daily field reports, including labor, equipment usage, and production progress.
  • Record water levels, pump run times, and system adjustments.
  • Communicate project status and issues to the project manager. Quality Control
  • Ensure installations meet engineering plans and specifications.
  • Verify proper placement and dewatering systems, pumps, and discharge piping.
  • Assist with testing and system commissioning. Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years experience in construction or dewatering operations.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Strong understanding of dewatering systems, pumps, and piping systems.
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license. Preferred
  • Experience with dewatering operations.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Experience working on large civil, utility, or infrastructure projects.
  • Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills. Skills & Competencies

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication with field crews and project managers.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work around excavation sites and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.

$15.00 - $37.00 per hour Ability to
