Wilkes-Barre, PA Overview The Team Services Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all off-ice logistical operations for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. This role ensures seamless support for the players, coaches, and hockey operations staff, enabling them to focus on peak performance on the ice. This is an integral role within the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Hockey Operations team. The hire will be tasked with diligently orchestrating all off-ice team operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable with the ability to troubleshoot and think on their feet, a team player capable of working with players & staff, and has a deep understanding of professional sports operations, particularly within hockey. Key Responsibilities Team Travel Coordination Plan, book, and oversee all team travel arrangements, including flights, ground transportation, and accommodations for players, coaches, and staff. Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and team policies. Manage last-minute changes to itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, injuries, game schedule adjustments). Game Day Operations Coordinate team arrivals, meals, and schedules for home and away games. Liaise with opposing teams, arena staff, and league representatives to confirm logistics. Ensure the team has access to locker room facilities, equipment, and other resources as needed. Player and Staff Support Serve as the primary point of contact for player and staff off-ice needs, including housing, transportation, and relocation assistance. Assist with securing work visas, immigration documents, and other legal requirements for international players. Provide onboarding support for new players and staff to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Vendor and Partner Management Build and maintain relationships with travel agencies, hotel vendors, transportation providers, and catering services. Budget Management Track and manage the team services budget, ensuring all expenses align with organizational guidelines. Prepare and submit detailed expense reports for review by the Hockey Operations department. Communication Provide timely updates to team staff and players regarding changes to plans or schedules. Assist the WBS front office in coordinating players for team, sponsor and community appearances and events. Leverage Teamworks to provide timely updates to team staff and players regarding changes to plans or schedules. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Experience in logistics coordination, team operations, or a related role in professional or collegiate sports (hockey preferred). Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to build relationships across diverse groups. Problem-solving mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, travel booking software, and other relevant tools. Additional Requirements Flexibility to travel with the team, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong knowledge of hockey operations and league policies is an asset. Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to work in the United States.
