POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Fleet Strategy and Sustainable Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the University?s fleet, transit, and mobility programs while advancing institutional sustainability, decarbonization, and compliance goals. Reporting to the Director of University Services, this position plays a critical role in aligning fleet and transportation operations with University priorities related to climate action, accessibility, safety, equity, and responsible resource stewardship. This position oversees fleet planning, vehicle lifecycle management, transit operations, regulatory compliance, and sustainability integration across transportation systems. The Assistant Director supports implementation of Massachusetts Executive Order 594, fleet electrification initiatives, EV infrastructure expansion, and performance reporting related to greenhouse gas reduction and operational efficiency. The role also supports budget development, vendor coordination, data-driven planning, and cross-divisional collaboration with Public Safety, Planning, Sustainability, and external agencies. This is a 12-month, exempt, APA unit position and is subject to the terms of that union. Standard Schedule•8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Some evening and weekend hours as well as travel will be required for this position. This position is eligible for a hybrid/remote work schedule based on departmental needs and university policies.Salary Range:
\$70,000•$75,000REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor\'s Degree ? Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in fleet management, transportation operations, facilities, sustainability, or a related operational field Ability to work extended hours and be on call as required by University operations •A minimum of three (3) professional reference entries, Resume, Cover Letter.Posting Number:
