Job Description Anchored Health is seeking an experienced healthcare operations leader to serve as the on-site Hospital Development & Operations Director for the development and launch of a new behavioral health hospital in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. This is a unique opportunity to lead a hospital project from concept to opening while working directly with ownership, investors, regulatory agencies, architects, contractors, and future hospital leadership. The successful candidate will oversee project execution, operational readiness, licensure, accreditation, staffing development, and go-live planning. This position will initially be structured as a contract engagement during the development and startup phases of the project, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time executive leadership role upon successful completion of key milestones and hospital opening. Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site representative for hospital development activities. Coordinate project timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Participate in construction, design, and planning meetings. Collaborate with architects, contractors, engineers, consultants, and vendors. Assist with Pennsylvania Department of Health licensure preparation and submission. Coordinate Joint Commission accreditation readiness activities. Develop and implement operational workflows, policies, and procedures. Support implementation of EHR, billing, and operational systems. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of hospital leadership and staff. Coordinate equipment, furniture, and supply procurement. Build relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, nursing facilities, and community partners. Monitor project risks and develop corrective action plans as needed. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for ownership and executive leadership. Support hospital opening activities and census development strategies. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field. Minimum five years of healthcare leadership or healthcare operations experience. Hospital administration, behavioral health, nursing home administration, or healthcare project management experience preferred. Experience with hospital startups, expansions, renovations, or accreditation processes strongly preferred. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and healthcare regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
