DESCRIPTION
The mission of the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate is to win the hearts and minds of non-Jews and Jews through powerful positive messaging and partnerships, motivating and equipping them to be defenders of and upstanders for Jews. BSA focuses on spreading the Blue Square and associated programs to spur action by people of all backgrounds. Working with a network of partners, BSA leverages unique monitoring technology to drive effective rapid response to Jewish hate and all hate, in addition to proactive programs that galvanize popular support for the Jewish community. SUMMARY The Merchandise Operations Coordinator is an entry-level team member responsible for supporting the day-to-day logistics, fulfillment, and inventory coordination of BSA merchandise, including Blue Square materials. This role executes established operational processes to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient distribution of merchandise to partners, stakeholders, and events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfill Blue Square and BSA merchandise requests via FedEx, USPS, and other shipping providers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Prepare and maintain the weekly pin request list, reviewing submissions for completeness and correcting basic errors as needed. Assemble shipment packages, prepare shipping labels, and coordinate outbound logistics to support efficient and accurate order distribution. Track inventory levels of Blue Square and related merchandise; notify leadership when stock is low and reorders may be required. Assist with placing vendor orders and reorders as directed, including confirming quantities and delivery timelines. Coordinate with warehouse partners to schedule and support large shipments and inventory transfers, ensuring accurate handling and timely movement of materials. Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders and event leads to confirm merchandise needs and delivery timelines for upcoming events. Support merchandise preparation for internal and external events, fundraisers, and convenings. Maintain organized and properly stocked merchandise inventory within the BSA office, including transporting materials to and from the warehouse as needed to support ongoing operational requirements. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred. 0-2 years of professional experience in operations, logistics, retail, warehouse, or administrative support preferred. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Comfort with basic inventory tracking and order processing systems, with the ability to learn new tools as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must have attention to detail and focused concentration Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands. The employee may be required to lift and transport merchandise and boxes to and from the warehouse and office storage areas.
