Job Description
Overview 15 lightyears is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This leadership role is critical to optimizing operations, enhancing communication, and driving efficiency across all our energy projects. As the Energy Division Manager, you will serve as the central point of communication between clients, field staff, office staff and senior management. You will play a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination between teams and aligning project execution with meeting client expectations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of renewable energy operations while fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Program Leadership Direct the strategy and ensure compliance for all RESNET updates and program changes. Provide executive oversight for the multifamily energy program and major projects, ensuring seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Strategically guide the department's participation and compliance in key energy and green certification programs (e.g., Energy Star, FGBC, NGBS). Cultivate and manage relationships with third-party program providers to ensure ongoing compliance and partnership effectiveness. Team & Operational Management Lead and mentor managers responsible for green energy registrations, field operations , and departmental support staff. Set clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability standards. Implement and oversee training curriculums to ensure continuous improvement and high performance. Drive professional development while ensuring production and quality targets are met. Senior Client & Growth Partnership Serve as a senior point of contact for key energy clients. Lead quarterly client reviews, regular business check-ins, and issue resolution. Partner with the sales team, providing high-level program knowledge and strategic scope input to support client growth efforts. Oversee new customer onboarding, ensuring smooth handoffs and clear expectations. Process Optimization Champion a department-wide Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) overhaul, establishing governance for process creation, refinement, and documentation. Oversee the strategic selection and implementation of field tools, software, and internal systems to maximize efficiency. Identify systemic gaps, operational inefficiencies, and risks, and direct the design and implementation of scalable solutions. Qualifications Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising teams within a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development and operartions , and project management. Knowledge of profit & loss management and process improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster collaboration. Strong sales acumen with experience in driving revenue growth through innovative solutions. Effective communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks efficiently.
