As a Project Manager, you will lead projects from early preconstruction through final completion. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in both planning and hands-on execution with a combination of project management, preconstruction, and estimating responsibilities, working closely with Foreman and Superintendents to ensure seamless coordination of the construction process. Serving as a trusted partner to our external clients and internal Wright-Ryan teams in Commercial and Homes, you will contribute to business development efforts and strengthen client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Job Requirements Develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope through review of drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare detailed estimates, and compile GMP proposals with accurate, competitive pricing. Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor proposals while identifying scope gaps and inconsistencies. Develop and manage preconstruction and project schedules, aligning client expectations with design and construction timelines. Create and execute project plans, including milestones, sequencing, site logistics, and startup planning. Manage project financials including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting. Maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes) and ensure strong document control practices. Collaborate with Superintendents, Foreman, and Project Engineers to manage day-to-day execution and maintain project momentum. Oversee subcontractor coordination, field issue resolution, permitting, utility coordination, and change order negotiations. Maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure that every aspect of the project meets or exceeds expectations for craftsmanship, materials, and overall finish. Education, Experience, and Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience managing construction projects, including preconstruction and/or estimating. Experience with conceptual and schematic budgeting is preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Knowledge of construction financials and financial risk and application to job site work. Proven ability to lead project teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional customer service skills to manage client relationships and develop new business opportunities. Demonstrates high accountability, ownership mentality, and a growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement of processes, team, and personal development. Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomes. Excels in a dynamic, collaborative, small-team environment where flexibility is key. Experience with construction software and technology tools (ProCore, Sage, Microsoft Suite, and MS Project preferred). Familiarity with estimating software such as Timberline, Ediphi, or similar tools. Pay and Benefits As a 100% employee-owned company, each employee owner shares in our financial success by receiving shares of company stock at no cost through our ESOP! In addition to the many benefits of employee-ownership, we offer competitive pay and a strong benefits package, including an annual bonus, 401(k) with company match, comprehensive insurance coverage (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and accident), plus paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
