Job Description
Under the direction of the solid waste/ recycling administrator, Perform high level administrative functions within a fast-paced, confidential environment. Prepare bids and contracts while ensuring compliance with SC State Procurement Code and SCDC guidelines. Maintain a log of contracts and leases with suspense dates. Enter requisitions timely and efficiently. Orders all office supplies and equipment for the branch. Track goods received and posts to appropriate purchase order. Maintain a safe, secure working environment. Supervise/instruct inmate workers when needed. Coordinate Human Resource duties within branch. Schedule deliveries and pickups to maximize time and resources. May be required to operate machinery. Schedule subject to change. Must Successfully Complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire. State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. Three (3) years of experience in administrative, purchasing, financial or related field. Knowledge of the South Carolina Procurement Code and SAP software.
