Job Description

FINANCIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

You're not a robot punching numbers — you're the steady hand behind the numbers. Detail-oriented with a dash of charm, you can juggle invoices, payments, and month-end reports without breaking a sweat. Quick wit? Check. Sparkling communication skills? Double check. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing accuracy with personality, and you keep calm even when a million things are moving at once.

From drafting invoices and reconciling payments to preparing deposits and reports, you'll keep our numbers squeaky clean. RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily accounting operations (A/P, A/R, expense tracking, data entry). Prepare and reconcile daily deposits; manage account receivables for auctions. Draft invoices, process payments, and send reminders or support collections as needed. Maintain accuracy of customer database including payment and shipping details. Collaborate with shipping team to ensure timely post-payment deliveries. Support auction day registration, invoicing, and checkout. Assist CFO with month-end close, financial reporting, projections, and budgeting. Manage inter-company accounts, inventory accounting, and asset acquisitions/disposals. Assist with sales tax filings (SC & GA) and audit preparation. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and confidentiality standards. Assist oversight of accounting assistant's workflow and responsibilities. Develop a sharp understanding of our business so you're more than just numbers on a page. Lend your skills to special projects as assigned by management— whether in finance or other areas — that support the broader goals of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS B.S./B.A.
Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience. 2+ years of broad accounting or bookkeeping experience required. Certificate or Degree in Business Administration or Finance a plus. Hands-on experience with private business operations. Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Email). Must love Excel! Excellent communication and people skills with strong attention to detail. QuickBooks proficiency a plus. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
The patience of a saint and the spiciness of a jalapeño. Upbeat, energetic, and fun — people love to work with you. Clear, concise communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
