Job Description

Ledgers Inc. is growing in Watertown, South Dakota, and we're looking for a full-time, onsite Operations Coordinator to support our internal financial operations and processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who thrives on accuracy, consistency, and ensuring financial workflows are completed correctly and on time. Why Ledgers Established, growing firm serving a wide range of local and regional businesses Team-focused environment where collaboration matters Clear processes and structured workflows to support efficiency Opportunity to build strong technical skills in accounting and operations Supportive role with visibility into firm-wide financial performance What You'll Do Act as the daily control point for workflow, time entry, WIP, and billing to ensure work is on time, on budget, and captured for revenue Monitor deadlines, capacity, and budgets daily; identify risks early and drive timely resolution Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure accurate tracking of billable work Prepare and process client billing and invoicing with accuracy Manage accounts receivable and perform consistent collection follow-up Process accounts payable and verify accuracy of vendor payments Process payroll to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation Review and validate time entries for billing readiness Reconcile WIP, billing, and cash data to ensure consistency Generate and maintain reports for WIP, revenue, and cash flow Identify discrepancies and resolve data or process issues Enforce process discipline across the team (time entry, workflow management, billing readiness) Provide backup support for front desk and administrative needs Support and maintain core accounting and workflow systems to ensure accurate data and consistent usage What You Bring 2-5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations Strong understanding of billing, receivables, payables, and financial workflows Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and related systems High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data Ability to reconcile and validate financial information Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to identify issues and follow through to resolution Comfortable holding others accountable to process and deadlines Reliable, consistent, and process-oriented mindset What We Offer PTO available from day one Full-time onsite schedule in Watertown Multiple health insurance plan options Dental and vision coverage Retirement match or student loan repayment match Continuing education support Opportunity for growth within the firm Supportive, team-oriented culture Position Summary The Operations Coordinator supports internal financial operations by ensuring work is tracked, billed, collected, and reconciled accurately. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
