Job Description The Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight of the daily operation and infrastructure of the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (LMU-OPCVM). This position promotes efficient and effective management of facilities, resources, and processes across OPCVMs multi-site network. Communicates with relevant University entities to support OPCVM facilities. The Director supports long-range planning, manages compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements, and advances operational systems that align with the Colleges mission and values.
Required Qualifications Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Higher Education, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, facilities, or project management
Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education, medical, or veterinary education environments Familiarity with accreditation processes and compliance reporting Demonstrated success in multi-site or distributed operations management

Job Duty Direct and coordinate operations across OPCVM facilities, including space management, logistics, and resource allocation
Job Duty Develop and implement policies and procedures that strengthen operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Job Duty Partner with LMU Administration, Facilities Planning and Management, Information Services, and external contractors to support timely project delivery
Job Duty Serve as a resource for staff in resolving operational challenges
Job Duty Support development and maintenance of preclinical, clinical, and research facilities to sustain program effectiveness
Job Duty Manage contracts and vendor relationships related to facilities and operations
Job Duty Collaborate with LMU Campus Security to implement emergency procedures and maintain building security
Job Duty Maintain records for Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports
Job Duty Monitor operational budgets and prepare reports for institutional planning and accreditation compliance
Job Duty Identify and apply cost-effective strategies and process improvements
Job Duty Handle sensitive information, including contracts, financial data, compliance reports, and accreditation records, with discretion
Job Duty Maintain confidentiality in all record keeping and communications
Job Duty Exercise sound judgment in managing restricted or sensitive information in alignment with University policies and applicable regulations
Job Duty Plan and execute events, meetings, and conferences hosted by the College
Job Duty Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and equipment setup
Job Duty Prepare and distribute materials for events and meetings
Job Duty Provide University-level coordination related to event policies, procedures, and compliance, including documentation for risk management, liability, and insurance requirements
Job Duty Monitor changes to University event policies and adjust OPCVM processes to remain compliant with evolving standards
Job Duty Represent OPCVM on University committees as appropriate
Job Duty Provide operational leadership for special projects and initiatives assigned by the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences
Job Duty Compile data and prepare reports required for institutional and program accreditation, as well as other reports that support advancement of University programs
Job Duty Perform related duties in support of the College s and University s mission and evolving needs
