Director of Operations and Compliance Management Pleasant View School - 4.0 Memphis, TN Job Details Full-time From $64,920.82 a year 18 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Position Summary Pleasant View School is seeking a Director of Operations and Compliance Management to lead the school's operational, compliance financial, and administrative functions in alignment with its mission and strategic priorities. This role is responsible for building and managing the systems, processes, and controls necessary to ensure operational excellence, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and organizational accountability. The Director partners closely with school leadership and the Board of Directors to drive disciplined execution, clear reporting, and sustainable growth across all operational areas. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Strategy & Execution Lead Execution of operational priorities aligned with the school's strategic plan Implement policies, procedures, and governance-aligned frameworks Establish clear accountability structures and reporting processes 2. Finance, HR & Compliance Overseebudgeting, financial planning, and operational forecasting Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness Oversee HR operations, including hiring workflows, onboarding, and personnel systems Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies 3. Systems, Data & Process Improvement Develop and standardize systems and processes across the organization Build data infrastructure, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision-making Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency 4. Operations & Facilities Ensure operational readiness for all school programs, activities, and events Oversee facilities planning, vendor management, and contract performance Support space planning aligned with enrollment and projected growth 5. Additional Responsibilities Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic priorities Other special projects may be assigned as necessary Board & Leadership Reporting Establish a consistent reporting cadence across academic, operational, and financial areas Provide clear, actionable insights to school leadership and the Board Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred 12+ years of leadership experience in operations, administration, or a related field Experience managing budgets, systems, and organizational processes Experience with compliance, audits, and internal controls preferred Experience in a school, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization preferred Key Competencies Strong execution and operational leadership Systems thinking and process improvement Data-driven decision-making Clear communication and collaboration Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Strong accountability and results orientation Scope Clarification This role does not include: Academic leadership, curriculum design, or instructional supervision Religious or Islamic studies leadership Board governance or policy-setting responsibilities Reporting Structure This role reports to the Board of Directors (or a designated Board committee), with close day-to-day coordination in partnership with school leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution across all areas of the school.
