Job Description

Assistant Service Manager Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager to help lead and support our service team. This role is responsible for overseeing field technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and managing both preventive and corrective maintenance operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a solid technical background in mechanical, automotive, hydraulic, and/or equipment service environments. Key Responsibilities Supervise, schedule, and support field service technicians Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment Manage daily field operations to ensure timely and efficient service Provide diagnostic support and troubleshooting guidance to technicians Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with company standards Coordinate service calls, repairs, and emergency response needs Monitor performance, productivity, and quality of service work Train and mentor team members to improve skills and efficiency Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding service updates Maintain service records, reports, and documentation Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and service vehicles Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and maintenance Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (preferred) Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role Ability to troubleshoot and support diagnostic processes Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Valid driver's license (if applicable) Work Environment Combination of office and field-based work Must follow all safety guidelines and procedures
