WHAT YOU'LL DO
ThriftBooks is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead operations in a high-volume, multi-shift distribution center. This Director level role is ideal for a data-driven, people-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced, technology-enabled environments and has a strong record of improving operational performance and leading through change. Lead all aspects of distribution operations, ensuring throughput, efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met or exceeded. Manage site-level financial performance, including budget planning, forecasting, and full P&L accountability. Build and develop high-performing teams across multiple shifts, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth. Implement scalable processes and operational best practices to support growth and efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally with all appropriate internal departments to align initiatives and achieve organizational goals. Maintain a strong focus on workforce planning, retention, and leadership development. Utilize Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and enhance quality. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while maintaining a people-first workplace culture. Oversee inventory accuracy and warehouse systems to support order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Qualifications
WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, operations, or logistics, ideally in an e-commerce or manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years of full ownership and accountability for a P&L. Demonstrated success managing large, hourly workforces and multiple operational departments. Proven ability to drive KPIs and business outcomes through coaching, systems management, and process improvement. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data to guide actions and evaluate performance. Minimum 4 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline.

BASE SALARY:
$110,000-$125,000/yr. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.
