Director of Operations â Inventory Initiatives & ProjectsThe ideal candidate will live in the Frisco/DFW areaPosition SummaryThe Director of Operations â Inventory Initiatives & Projects is responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives to reduce waste, improve decision-making, and build organizational capability across end-to-end inventory management processes. This role focuses on driving visibility, establishing routines, and standardizing processes to improve performance across obsolescence, trade break, resets, and overall inventory health. The position operates cross-functionally, influencing Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to deliver measurable results.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive visibility and insight through weekly analytics and reporting that enable fact-based decision-making and accountabilityEstablish and sustain operating routines and governance to manage inventory and BSO performance end-to-endLead enterprise inventory initiatives focused on reducing waste across obsolescence, trade break, resets, and inventory qualityDevelop and implement enterprise BSO training programs by function to build capability and drive consistent executionStandardize key inventory management processes including •, donations, destructions, trade break, resets, and repackCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Analytics teams to remove barriers and drive outcomesLead cross-functional projects from definition through execution, ensuring alignment, progress tracking, and results deliveryAlign stakeholders on priorities, ensure actions are established, and drive accountability across functionsIdentify upstream drivers of inventory risk and partner with teams to improve forecasting, inventory management, and execution discipline

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred10+ years of experience in DSD, operations, supply chain, or related fieldStrong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills without direct authorityProven ability to lead large-scale initiatives and drive measurable business resultsExperience with inventory management, supply chain operations, or DSD environments preferredStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsExcellent communication and executive presentation skillsAbility to build processes, routines, and governance structures in complex environmentsDemonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization
