Job Description

About us Charleston Taylor Estate is a small, family-run winery rooted in Texas Hill Country tradition. We don't just pour wine — we create moments. Our team is tight-knit, deeply passionate, and committed to delivering a five-star guest experience every single time the doors open. If you believe hospitality is an art form and that every guest deserves to leave knowing more than when they arrived, you'll fit right in. The role We're looking for a part-time Tasting Room Associate who understands that wine is just the starting point. You'll guide guests through curated tasting experiences with genuine warmth, real knowledge, and a gift for storytelling. This isn't a pour-and-recite position — we want someone who asks questions, reads the room, and creates a personal connection that makes our estate unforgettable. What you'll do Host and lead tasting experiences that go beyond the glass — sharing the story behind the estate, the land, and each vintage Build genuine rapport with guests — learning their preferences, tailoring the experience, and making them feel at home on the property Run private and group experiences with confidence, managing pacing, flow, and atmosphere from start to finish Assist with wine club engagement, retail sales, and guest follow-up in a way that feels natural, not transactional Contribute to the daily opening, closing, and upkeep of the tasting room — we're a small team and everyone pitches in Handle POS transactions and maintain the polished, premium presentation our guests expect What we're looking for Genuine wine knowledge — previous tasting room or hospitality experience is required; you should be comfortable discussing varietals, terroir, production, and food pairings without reading from a script A natural host — warm, curious, and able to read any group and adapt on the fly; you light up a room without trying Saturday availability is non-negotiable — our busiest day is when we need you most; additional weekend and weekday availability is a plus Team-first mindset — we're a small family operation and every person matters; ego has no place here TABC certification (or willingness to obtain before start date) Comfortable standing for extended periods, working outdoors in varying weather, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs Bonus points Experience with wine club programs, knowledge of Texas Hill Country wine region, background in luxury hospitality, or formal wine education.
