Position Overview Seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead construction operations within a Data Center Innovations division. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of high‑quality, profitable projects through effective team leadership, resource management, and cross-functional coordination. The Operations Director will align execution with company standards while also supporting sales initiatives and long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Build, develop, and mentor high-performing operations and field teams Lead operations meetings, project reviews, and company-wide updates Hold teams accountable for performance, schedules, and deliverables Drive talent development, engagement, and retention Construction Operations Oversee all aspects of data center construction projects Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards Coordinate closely with project management, safety, supply chain, and logistics teams Enforce standard processes and procedures across all projects Monitor productivity, minimize rework, and prevent cost overruns Resource & Workforce Planning Plan staffing needs based on project backlog and forecasts Optimize crew sizes to meet schedule and budget targets Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment requirements Ensure shop and field labor hours remain within budget Adjust workforce plans as project demands evolve Financial & Business Management Support monthly forecasting and annual planning processes Track job costs, productivity, and work-in-progress Drive operational efficiency and project profitability Participate in post-project evaluations and continuous improvement efforts Safety, Quality & Compliance Partner with safety teams to ensure training and compliance Promote consistent, high-quality project execution standards Manage union labor considerations and attend labor meetings as needed Sales & Business Development Support Collaborate with estimating and sales teams on staffing strategies and constructability input Participate in bid reviews and client presentations Support new pursuits and budgeting efforts alongside leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience 10+ years of construction industry experience (data center experience preferred) 7+ years of project management experience 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams Strong financial and business acumen Experience with forecasting and cost control Willingness to travel as needed Core Skills Data center construction Mechanical systems Operations leadership Business development Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Round Rock, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $230000.00/yr.
