Job Description
The Cultivation Site Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the cultivation and management of all plants including, but not limited to, mothers, clones, vegetative stage plants, flowering plants, and drying plants. The Cultivation Site Manager oversees and participates in activities related to the care and maintenance of the cultivation by allocating tasks, directly supervising employees, job scheduling, and quality control. Additionally, the Cultivation Site Manager collaborates with hiring, scheduling, and reviewing employees. The Cultivation Site Manager is responsible for training and managing the cultivation team on all the tasks in the grow in accordance with local and state laws, regulations, and standards set by the Company and works closely and collaboratively with Management and reports to the Cultivation Manager 3+ years cultivation, agriculture, or horticulture experience (cannabis preferred) 2+ years of people management experience in a regulated environment Strong knowledge of plant health, nutrients, and pest control Familiarity with Utah cannabis compliance, MJFreeway/ICS systems Ability to perform calculations for nutrients, ratios, and dosing Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Must meet all Utah state requirements for cannabis facility employment Physical & Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move items up to 40 lbs Extended periods of standing, sitting, or repetitive movements (8-12 hours) Exposure to chemicals, fertilizers, and plant materials Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Routine use of safety equipment, including protective eyewear On-site role requiring consistent attendance The Cultivation Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cultivation facility, ensuring the health, quality, and compliance of all plant production from clone to harvest. This role leads the cultivation team, manages processes and resources, and ensures adherence to company standards and local/state regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, scientifically knowledgeable, and experienced in managing cultivation operations while maintaining a high-performing team in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Manage all cultivation activities at site (clone, veg, flower, harvest, drying) Supervise, schedule, train, and lead cultivation staff (up to 25 employees) Ensure strict compliance with Utah medical cannabis laws, tracking, and reporting requirements Maintain plant health, nutrient programs, irrigation, and integrated pest management Monitor environmental controls (HVAC, lighting, humidity, odor mitigation) Oversee inventory, supplies, and vendor coordination Maintain a clean, secure, and inspection-ready facility Implement SOPs, safety standards, and continuous process improvements Track plant data, yields, and performance metrics Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams
