About the
Role:
You will serve as an Operations Supervisor as part of the H2H Emergency Services team. The operations supervisor assists the General Manager of EMS and the General Manager of NEMT in managing the day-to-day operations during their assigned shift. In this role you will assist H2H's leadership in ensuring that all field and support personnel, vehicles, and equipment operate in an efficient and effective manner. You will also enforce company policies, ensure compliance with company procedures, and provide education or discipline as necessary.
Summary:
Supervises
NEMT & EMS
crews which involves duties such as assigning and reviewing rides, maintaining H2H's standards, problem solving, employee counseling and discipline. Resolves issues/inquires from staff regarding work assignments, vehicles, equipment, etc. Provides guidance and oversight to dispatch team regarding work assignments, vehicles, service capabilities, EMS regulations, and effective utilization of resources. Rides with crews on department apparatus and observes staff performance during actual responses. Responds to calls for service to assist crews and/or meet with facility staff as requested or needed. Enforces H2H's standard operating procedures and documents any deviations from SOP. Assists in maintaining equipment and technology required for field operations. Assists in maintaining adequate stock of required supplies to ensure operational readiness. Assists in ensuring vehicles are properly cleaned and stocked in compliance with H2H standards and OEMS regulations. Operates vehicles in accordance with applicable regulations and H2H standards. Inspects and tests emergency vehicles to ensure operational readiness and completes necessary inspection documentation. Maintains clear and concise communication with employees, leadership, hospital staff, and other medical personnel utilizing two-way radios, phones, and email. Performs inspections/investigations and prepares reports of observations/incidents. Assists in training of new personnel. Identifies staff training, development, and disciplinary needs. Assists in the development of performance improvement plans. Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
Conditions of Employment:
Candidates selected for employment are subject to a fingerprint-based background screening, as required by the Virginia Office of EMS. Candidates who refuse to be fingerprinted will be denied employment with H2H Emergency Services.

Requirements:
Be at least 21 years of age. Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Hold a valid driver's license. Must have at least 1 year of experience as a "cleared" EMS attendant-in-charge. Have an acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with company policy. Maintain current certification through the VA OEMS as an EMT.
Hold current certifications in:
CPR & EVOC.
Not have been convicted or found guilty of any crime, offense, or regulatory violation, or participated in other prohibited conduct identified in state EMS regulations as found in 12VAC5-31-910. Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
