Job Description

eDiscovery Senior Manager McLean, Virginia | United States Direct Hire Our client, a major player in the U.S. housing finance market, is seeking an eDiscovery Senior Manager to lead day-to-day operations across its eDiscovery & Data Management function in a highly visible, fully onsite role based in McLean, VA. In this position, you'll manage and mentor a team while overseeing litigation and investigation support, including legal holds, data preservation, and coordination of review and production workflows, partnering closely with legal, compliance, and technical stakeholders to drive execution, allocate resources, and ensure defensible, efficient processes across the discovery lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep EDRM expertise, strong technical and business acumen, and proven people management experience, along with a proactive approach to process improvement and the ability to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, offering a strong opportunity to make a meaningful impact on team development and the continued evolution of a mature in-house eDiscovery program. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across eDiscovery and data management functions Manage, mentor, and develop a team of eDiscovery professionals Oversee execution of litigation support, internal investigations, and regulatory requests Coordinate legal hold processes, data preservation efforts, and document review workflows Partner with legal, compliance, and technical teams to align priorities and deliver outcomes Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and shifting business needs Provide strategic guidance on case strategy, workflows, and execution approach Drive process improvements and implement efficiencies across the eDiscovery lifecycle Establish and refine protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures Act as a senior advisor to resolve technical challenges and escalate issues as needed Qualifications Significant experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or data management Proven experience managing and leading teams in a professional environment Strong knowledge of EDRM and legal hold administration practices Demonstrated ability to balance technical expertise with business needs Experience working across complex matters with multiple stakeholders Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI tools and platforms Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement Preferred Experience ground supporting financial services, mortgage, or highly regulated industries Experience implementing or optimizing eDiscovery tools and workflows Exposure to both in-house legal teams and external partners or vendors Track record of driving operational excellence and scalable solutions #
