Material Operations Manager Portsmouth, Virginia AMP is ing AI-powered sortation at scale to modernize the world's recycling infrastructure and maximize the value in waste. Learn more at AMPSortation. AMP is hiring a Materials Operations Manager to report to the Plant Manager in Portsmouth, VA. This role will work closely with our facility operations, finance and business development teams. This role requires a deep interest in recycling, as well as flexibility and adaptability to the evolving needs of AMP programs, projects andanization.
Responsibilities:
Materials Planning Interfaces with the Commercial team on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments Anticipate and forecast material demand Provide forecast to Commercial sourcing team on material demand by week Develop and distribute daily/weekly run schedule Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements andpany financial goals Inventory Management Communicate with plant colleagues on inventories and anticipated production needs Ensure and capture inventory accuracy of downgraded and rejected material from suppliers, in process and post production Responsible for total inventory accuracy of 98%+ in value by incorporating a cycle count procedure Ensure material storage is inpliance with standards Logistics Oversee procedures for shipping, receiving and storing raw materials Organize and manage deliveries, advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to set up deliveries. Initiate traces with carriers for proof of deliveries when needed Resolve invoicing issues in cooperation with suppliers and accounts payable Establish procedures and supervise the annual physical inventory Supervise, evaluate and coach staff members Ensure that thepany's standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions Ensure all team members are trained and certified on tools, equipment and quality standards Paradigm software knowledge a plus Leadership Coach members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that deliver results Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses Identify team goals and evaluate team progress Organize team meetings, topics of discussion and progress toward the goal Assistant to the Plant Manager acting on behalf of the Plant Manager as required General Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift. Ads to allpany and regulatory safety standards and rules. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Participate in or lead continuous improvement of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of materials management operations The successful candidate will have:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree a plus APICS certification (e.g. CPIM) preferred
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in materials management in a manufacturing environment
