The Leadership Position Divaris is seeking a Director of Lease Operations to lead and elevate our Lease Analyst team in Virginia Beach. This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and vision to the department while driving strong performance, team development, and operational excellence. The right candidate, will have a comprehensive knowledge of commercial lease administration and will also be someone who can step in, provide direction, develop people, improve performance, and help build a high performing team. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Lease Analyst team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Establish clear departmental goals, priorities, and performance expectations, and monitor progress against them.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate team workflows, responsibilities, and structure to ensure the department is operating efficiently and positioned for growth.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding of assets, lease administration transitions, and due diligence processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on complex lease matters, interpretations, and operational issues.
  • Partner with internal departments, including Property Management, Property Accounting, and Brokerage, to improve coordination, communication, and service delivery.
  • Build, refine, and implement processes, controls, and best practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and overall team performance.
  • Identify opportunities for training, professional development, and succession planning within the department.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, real estate or business preferred.
  • 5 plus years' experience in third-party commercial real estate lease administration or property accounting.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing teams, developing staff and setting goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive accountability across a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility across departments and with clients.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lease structures, terms and abstracting lease documents preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Yardi, and related systems.
Additional Information This is a full-time, on-site position located in Virginia Beach, VA. A background check and drug screening are required prior to employment.
